Lightkeeper - Intern
Fascinated by the immensity of the natural and cultural resources that our planet offers, I turned to the tourism sector when I was 18 years old. My encounters and experiences during my previous internship in Tanzania with a tour operator organizing safaris and treks in Kilimanjaro made me grow a lot personally, especially on the values of sharing, mutual aid and benevolence, all principles that are very important to me today. From my first exchanges with TouriScope members, I knew that I would find them again. These are all interests that motivated me to do my end-of-study internship in Tourism Development at the University of ISTHIA in Toulouse, France, with the Girl Scouts.
I am a dynamic and very reactive person, always present to support my colleagues in case of need. As a perfectionist, I always make sure to give my best for the realization of each task of the mandates entrusted. My various trips and studies during class on the many negative impacts of tourism on the environment have made me aware of sustainable tourism and the desire to help tourism companies to develop projects that are more respectful of the environment and focused on local communities.
This internship was an enlightenment for me. The profession of tourism consultant is a field that fascinates me, by its various challenges, the daily lessons brought as well as the relationship with the customers. So many attractions that motivate me to want to pursue my professional path in this sector, especially in Canada, a country that I fall in love with day after day.
