Lightkeeper - Administrative support
Observant and curious are two terms that describe me well. I like to understand things before I get involved: I observe. I ask questions. I learn by myself and take my time to analyze the need. Not out of pride, but because I like to understand how "it" works.
I have always worked in the sports tourism industry, as far back as I can remember. My parents ran a sports center with a hotel, training center and indoor tennis courts in the Laurentians and I was involved in all aspects of the business. As a child and during my studies, I did competitive downhill skiing. I now live in southeastern New Brunswick and have a passion for stunt kite flying.
My education is consistent with who I am: I studied at the University of Ottawa in Leisure Studies. Since then, I have held several administrative positions with a focus on process implementation and monitoring as well as statistical data analysis - all for the sake of efficiency. I am passionate about making numbers talk. Improving processes is in my DNA.
People say I'm "good at my job" because I need to anticipate, to see what's coming. As a result, I'm not always ‘’Carpe Diem’’, but I work at it. I compensate for this hyper-cartesian side with a highly developed ability to put myself in the perspective of others and in their shoes, to adapt my behavior, my speech and my way of thinking in order to be empathetic with my audience. Life has taught me to never judge, and I thank it.
