CONTEXT

The Réseau de développement économique et d’employabilité (RDÉE Canada) is an organization dedicated to the vitality of Canada's francophone and Acadian minority communities. The development of French-speaking culture and its tourism products is one of its major development levers. One of the flagship projects in this area is the Corridor heritage, culture and French-speaking tourism. However, communities' awareness of their tourism potential is fairly recent and many challenges arise. Following this observation and with the will to confront it, the renewal of the tourism strategy was necessary.

APPROACH

Since then, TouriScope has completed several mandates for RDÉE Canada, always in line with these issues and objectives.

- A tourism strategy for French-speaking minority communities, over 4 years
- A tourism strategy for its Quebec partner CEDEC (Corporation of Employability and Community Economic Development) for English-speaking minority communities in Quebec
- A business plan for the Corridor clarified the offer and target clientele and identified a distinctive value proposition leading to the development of an effective sales pitch
- Support has been provided for the preparation of a recovery plan following the COVID-19 crisis, as well as its implementation. This includes strategic intelligence to facilitate decision-making.

RESULTS

Thanks to this recurrent support, RDÉE Canada has been able to exercise stronger leadership among its partners and tourism stakeholders. The result will be an increased competitiveness of operators in the Corridor's Francophone minority communities in the long term.
